St. Augustine's Church

St. Augustine’s is the Parish Church for the 7500 people who live in the roads off Ecclesall Road and around Endcliffe Park. They are a wide mixture of families with young children, long established residents and a transient population of students from both Universities.

Others from outside the parish join us, seeking a friendly congregation and dignified worship with a high standard of music.

Services at St. Augustine's...

We celebrate the Eucharist using Common Worship with hymns and a variety of sung settings of the service. We believe that a certain amount of ceremony helps to create a helpful atmosphere for worship, but without too much solemnity. Different service books are provided for each of the main seasons, and everyone has a sheet with the week’s Bible readings.

All Age worship, with a simpler service is held on the second Sunday of each month.Refreshments and fellowship in the Church Hall follow each service.
